About Suruchi Shahi

Experienced and dynamic researcher with a strong passion for public health and gender equality. Skilled in research and proposal writing, I am currently working at a public health research firm, where I have successfully developed winning proposals for projects related to reproductive health and abortion services. I have a master's degree in Gender Studies and a background in Biological Science and Public Health. As a former Teach for Nepal fellow and Teach for All's Global Girls Education Fellowship alumna, I have dedicated over two years to teaching and advocating for quality education in rural public schools. During my fellowship, I developed comprehensive lesson plans, fostered inclusive classrooms, and collaborated with students, parents, and the school community for holistic development. I am highly motivated to address social inequities and have actively participated in various conferences and events related to women's health, gender, and media. I have also served as a mentor, teacher, and facilitator, helping students develop their leadership and English-speaking skills. Passionate about making a difference in communities, I am seeking opportunities to contribute to projects that promote equality, equity, and social change in public health and education.
