Ask 10 people what analytics is, and you will get 10 different responses ranging from running reports, understanding how a system works, knowing where the data comes from, to being able to present a perfect PowerPoint to the CEO of the company. I am able to get the best out of any team I manage because I encourage open and honest collaboration, communication and independent thinking. In my 15+ years of experience in the Analytic and Auditing fields, I've developed and trained on a basic three rules of analytics that will support and enhance any expectations of an analytic team. 1) Understand the request -What is the anticipated result -Who is the target audience -Where is the data 2) Understand the requester -How do they like to see results presented -When is their deadline -Why are they asking for this information 3) Understand the results -What is the data telling you -Does the information match with initial assumptions -Can I explain the results to the requester I have an excellent track record of being able to address all of these questions and provide actionable and accurate results in addition to training my team to see things from multiple perspectives to get the full picture. My unquenchable desire to understand and comprehend the Why's and How's of systems, data, programs, and processes has resulted in a go-to individual who is able to make prompt decisive decisions that drive business profitability.
