About Susan Cabral-Ebert

I am a creative artist, businesswoman and educator who loves to use all of my talents to create characters, tell stories, and enrich the filmmaking process. I have extensive experience working with union artists, uplifting their visibility in the entertainment industry and improving working conditions. My goal is to empower, encourage and inspire them so that they will be successful and educated in all areas of their lives, whether it's in a job, community, or personal life. During my tenure as President of IATSE Local 706 (2003 -2018) we achieved great changes in every facet from education to legislative advocacy to the success of the Make-up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Awards. Our award show is the only show specifically dedicated to celebrating the achievements of make-up artists and hair stylists in film, television, commercials, theater and music videos on an international platform. We also celebrate Local706 artisans life achievements and also actors, directors and producers who collaborate and elevate the crafts. Our local made so many improvements it was recognized by International President Matthew Loeb with the International President’s Award in 2020.
