About Susan Cain

With 30 years in hospitality management and a background in operations, my passion is working with people. I am extremely customer focused, team-oriented, and believe that preparation is key. Since 2023, I have been the Director of Business Development / Owner Relations for Seascape Resort in beautiful Miramar Beach, Florida. I have the opportunity to work hybrid and spend time between Floriday and Indiana. In this role, I find myself as the one who develops relationships between Seascape and the Owners, Community and Businesses. Previously, as a Task Force Manager and General Manager, I was able to adapt quickly to many situations, identify areas in need of improvement and make sustainable changes. My position as Corporate Director of People and Culture (HR) added a whole new level of adapting, creating culture, training, recruiting and retaining, and I still got to dip into operations and acquisitions. Some of my skills include: Establishing and building culture and relationships within our company, owners and the community; Budgeting & Forecasting; Hotel / Resort Operations with specialty in Front Office; Team Mentoring & Leadership; Project Planning; Sales & Conference Services; and Prospecting New Business.
