About Susan D. Ball

I've worked at Fordham University for nearly nine years, retiring September 6, 2022. I will miss collaborating with the impressive professionals who comprise Fordham’s advancement and marketing teams. In our new hybrid world, the students and alumni of Fordham still make me proud to have served,"changing the world, one student at a time." Background: After a career in book publishing (final position: Vice President of Marketing Services at Simon and Schuster) I sold real estate for ten years while starting a family. In I became the Development Director of Pequot Library, a private library and community arts center in Southport, CT. I then held similar positions at two museums and a community foundation. My longest tenure was five years at Greens Farms Academy, a leading K-12 independent school in Westport, CT. I have served on the Board of Directors of Leadership Greater Bridgeport, The Center for Women and Families of Eastern Fairfield County and of LifeBridge, formerly FSW, a leading social service organization in Bridgeport that helps thousands every year to improve the quality of their lives.
