After leaving IBM, I began a journey to help others improve their life circumstances. As an Associate Director of Partner Relations at Year Up, Inc, I cultivated partnerships with public and private entities to generate revenue which was invested in providing internship and career opportunities for underserved young adults. During my first 6 months with the organization, I generated $470K in revenue and secured technology internships for 19 young talented individuals. Later, I accepted a role as Director of Choice Neighborhoods at Atlanta Housing Authority. I was focused on advancing education, health, workforce development and neighborhood revitalization initiatives. In this position, I coordinated the strategic direction for the advancement of low and moderate income neighborhoods including forming partnerships with government officials, non-profit organizations and other leaders to address community needs.
