I’ve always loved solving puzzles — whether it’s untangling a financial discrepancy, designing more efficient accounting processes, or helping a team member grow into their potential. With more than 20 years of experience in accounting, nonprofit leadership, and fraud prevention, I’ve built a career around curiosity, integrity, and service. My work spans diverse sectors — from higher education and payroll compliance to global trade associations and mission-driven nonprofits — but the common thread is my ability to bring clarity to complexity. I thrive on digging deep into the details, identifying patterns, and creating systems that make teams and organizations stronger, more transparent, and more efficient. Currently, I serve as Director of Tax Compliance at BizChecks Payroll, where I oversee employment tax filings for 1,200+ companies, manage retirement plans, and implement process improvements that increase accuracy and profitability. I also lead fraud prevention education initiatives for small businesses, helping clients protect their organizations before issues arise. In previous roles, I’ve: • Led nonprofit operations, budgets, and compliance at Georgetown University and national trade associations. • Built accounting infrastructure for growing companies and associations, including AP/AR, reconciliations, and audit support • Managed and mentored teams, directed cross-functional projects, and negotiated contracts and grants worth millions • Supported IRS audit resolution, system migrations, and accounting policy development — always with a focus on ethical, accurate, and strategic outcomes My superpowers?
