I am an LPN but I have severe arthritis, fibromyalgia and sciatica. I walk with a walker. I have great difficulty walking and standing. I have had to make a decision to give up my career as a caregiver. I love nursing and it saddens me to leave. But my body can’t handle the physical demands of this wonderful occupation. I would do better at a desk job and seeking those positions. CPR, I have almost 30 years of trach and vent experience, including suctioning and I have change a trach tube s few times. I also have feeding tube including changing gastric tubes a few times as well. I also have extensive orthopedic experience including circoelectric beds, bivalve body casting and care, tractlon However now due to health and mobility issues, I now am interested in desk positions only as I walk slowly with a walker and unsteady gait.
