About Susan K Roth

The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. That summarizes my career as a clinician, healthcare leader with roles as Assistant Administrator, Associate Administrator, Director Nursing and Hospital CEO. I’ve also had opportunities to move into technical roles in Information Systems Implementation, IS Support then to Revenue Cycle and Compliance Consultant. My career path took the sum of all my knowledge and eventually lead me to work for large hospital corporation. I am an intellectually curious critical thinker who learns as much as possible about an issue by consulting involved stakeholders. I analyze complexities and communicate ideas simply and clearly at all levels of an organization. My strong communication skills enable me to comfortably present to large groups. I am mindful of the audience in person or in writing … whether it be Physicians, Clinicians, IT Professionals, Compliance Officers or CFO’s. I have used these skills to drive results in a thoughtful, collaborative manner. Two examples have been the creation of a standard charge master database for 28 hospitals generating $750 million of revenue and turning around a failing hospital marked for sale into a profitable institution which passed it's accreditation survey despite expectations that it would fail. In the future I plan to pursue opportunities in the not-for-profit sector and hope to use my energy and creativity to positively impact the lives of others in our area. Over the course of the past five years my husband and I have made not-for-profit work a priority in our lives. We share time, professional skills and personal financial resources with social service agencies focused on promoting education and self-sufficiency in Northeast Florida.
