I am an enthusiastic, motivated, well-rounded individual. As an educator, researcher, and mentor in Higher Education, I bring significant work experience in management and healthcare to my classes and teaching. I am highly organized, with a positive attitude. I believe that it's important to improve my classroom presence and my interactions with students. In order to accomplish this, I have completed the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) Course in Effective Teaching Practices, Peer Reviewer- PKP, Quality Matters Reviewer (Higher Education and K-12), Online Teaching Certification-Online Learning Consortium, Native American Cultural Competency Training. In 2019 I completed training to become a Certified Yoga Instructor, completing re-certification in 2021 and becoming a RYT 200 (Registered Yoga Teacher with 200 hours completed). I teach Hatha Yoga which involves the breath, body, and mind. I believe it's important to have a balance with our work lives and personal lives, yoga can assist in providing this balance allowing time to reflect (meditate) while strengthening our bodies.
