About Susan Low

In addition to my position with DCC, I am a Principal with Emergent Sustainable Solutions; a collective of skilled professionals with strategic insight, technical skill and a high level of expertise in a variety of areas. I have been working as an environmental professional since 1994 and am a LEED Accredited Professional. My project management expertise includes coordinating multi-disciplinary teams of consultants, contractors, and technical staff on complex projects. I have demonstrated success in managing personnel and resources to meet project objectives within budget and timeframe. I also provides senior technical and quality review of project deliverables. I have extensive experience working in freshwater, marine and terrestrial ecosystems; Federal and Provincial Environmental Assessments; green building and sustainability in addition to over 10 years in construction monitoring and regulatory compliance. I have worked effectively with community stewardship groups on aquatic habitat monitoring and restoration, incorporating capacity building into successful projects. I have completed CEAA and BCEA Environmental Assessments on behalf of Defense Construction Canada, and other governmental and non-governmental clients. I have managed the tendering process for environmental contracts, including construction oversight, progress certificates and final inspections for a wide range of government and industrial clients.
