Unlocking potential and enabling others to 'join up the dots' is what motivates me to go to work each day.**Winner of the Canterbury Christ Church University Teaching Excellence Award 2017** An Associate Fellow with Advance HE, I combine all my previous training & development experience, & recent studies (BA (Hons) Education Studies & History & University Certificate in Academic Practice), with current pedagogical research & industry innovations to inform effective strategies for student employability & skills development across Canterbury Christ Church University. I am a creative problem solver with over 20 years experience of direct training provision; over a decade's experience of management & project leadership and consultancy across all areas of human resources, organisational management & administration & over 3 years experience working in Higher Education. During my studies I worked part time in Career Development, & as an Outreach Student Ambassador & contributed to the Graduate Attributes Project leading to a fixed term role as a Career Development Adviser, before taking on my new role as Head of Employability and Skills. I am an excellent facilitator, presenter & communicator. I am an inspiring team player who believes in working to bring out the best in others to achieve collective goals; I am flexible & open to new challenges, which are, always faced with humour & positivity. I interviewed 30 business mums from the UK & Ireland for my Amazon best selling business start-up book 'Mum Ultrapreneur'(2010). I also hosted a weekly radio show, spoke at national conferences & published trade articles. I have managed accredited learning programmes, coordinated & delivered 'in-house' & open access training across health, housing & social services. I have taught Drama, Musical Theatre, Comedy & Singing for children & young people ranging in age from 2 1/2 to 24 years & took my own one woman show to the Edinburgh Fringe (2007).
