About Susan Ruiz

I am an adjunct Instructor [Psychology, remote] for Southern New Hampshire University. I am a new Leader for a Trauma Reboot, part of ReBoot Recovery, and serve as an admin to LoveOurVets.org. I am seeking an additional position in either academia, clinical research administration, or a medical facility as a patient advocate. Lastly, and as a veteran, I am seeking to serve my fellow veterans for whom PTSD is a daily issue hence the reason for pursuing a third graduate certificate in Military Resilience. I have extensive employment experience that began with dental training which led me to a tour in the U.S. Navy, and to my training and tenure as a paramedic. I have acquired a total of 34 years in the medical-dental arenas which ultimately led me to complete my post-secondary education with a doctorate in Health Psychology. My research interests stem from my doctoral research with spouses of veterans diagnosed with posttraumatic stress disorder [PTSD] and the prevalence of secondary PTSD in those who reside with someone with PTSD. I am also interested in the number of seniors diagnosed with Diabetes but who are non-compliant with their treatment regimens. I have additional training in Clinical Research and would consider employment in research studies within my interests.
