About Susan Trainor

As a Nurse Practitioner and Certified Diabetes Educator at Mount Nittany Physician Group, I have over 20 years of experience and expertise in diabetes assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management. I provide individualized patient care and education, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality and safety standards. I also oversee the clinical and administrative operations of the outpatient diabetes education program, accredited by the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES) In addition, I serve as a Council Member for College Township, where I leverage my healthcare background and leadership skills to improve the health and well-being of the community. I work with other council members, staff, and stakeholders to develop and implement policies, initiatives, and projects that address the needs and challenges of the township. Some of the areas I focus on include environmental sustainability, economic development, public safety, and civic engagement. I am passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of people with diabetes and in the community at large.
