About Susan Young

With over 20 years of experience in the commercial interiors and contract furniture industry, I specialize in sales development, account, project, and relationship management. I hold an BFA in Interior Design and an MBA, combining my passion for aesthetics & design with strategic business acumen. My extensive background includes working from a dealer sales and design perspective, making me well-versed in the needs and expectations of A&D firms, dealers, and in-house design teams. Beginning my career in new business development, I expanded a local account into a national one, led the launch and strategic growth of the University of Michigan Health System, medical school, and campus (collectively my employer’s largest client), and navigated Ford Land’s major projects through the challenges of the pandemic, including manufacturing shutdowns and the transition to virtual systems. My career has consistently been at the intersection of change management, business growth, and strategic problem-solving. I thrive on developing strong relationships and driving business growth for forward-thinking companies. My coaching certification has honed my highly attuned people skills and interpersonal relations, enhancing my ability to connect with clients and colleagues on a deeper level, leading to long-term client retention. I bring passion, creativity, and a commitment to excellence in all my endeavors.
