I am dedicated to helping health care organizations identify and implement innovative strategies to optimize opportunities in alternative payment models while at the same time navigating the traditional fee-for-service arena to allow for operational excellence across the care continuum, and providing the highest quality of care to their patients While population health management may be one of the trendiest terms to hit healthcare industry, it is also one of the most elusive. My most compelling work involves breaking down the fundamentals of population health management and value-based care, explaining its approach of patient-centered, data-driven care and what it will mean to providers in their current and future states. From strategy to operations and working collaboratively with physician/hospital and payer partnerships – I identify where to get started, what interventions to implement, who to involve and what health IT and data analytic tools to be successful in value-base care. Through the myriad of reform and regulation efforts, I am recognized for translating complex policy and reimbursement methodology, along with quality measurement at the state and national level, in a logical and impactful manner. I have a deep appreciation for the value of health care related data and I am highly skilled in capturing and analyzing it from a wealth of resources and applications ranging from EMRs, EDWs, Big Data to AI. My expertise lies in analyzing quality indicators, clinical outcomes, utilization, financial and social determinants of health which provide solid predictive and perspective modelling of patient populations, and in turn, define opportunities to optimize performance in the cost of care, health outcomes and patient experience. I have spent 20 years working in the healthcare sector; recently in highly visible performance improvement roles within 3 large health systems, supported by a background in national and local public health administration, health economics and outcomes research.
