About Susannah Lee

Susannah Lee, LAc has been working at Lokahi since October, 2017. She is also a Certified Massage Therapist and Certified in Maya Abdominal Therapy. Susannah specializes in fertility, reproductive, pregnancy & postpartum support and is intimately knowledgeable of both natural and assisted reproductive technology (ART) approaches. In addition to Chinese Medicine and acupuncture, Susannah offers Maya Abdominal Therapy (as taught by Dr. Rosita Arvigo) to support reproductive health, digestive health, postpartum healing, surgery recovery and stress reduction. Susannah received her undergraduate degree in Religious Studies with an emphasis in Indo-Tibetan Buddhism from Naropa University. It was during her undergraduate studies that she was exposed to Classical Five Element Acupuncture and the extraordinary healing benefits of East Asian Medicine. After receiving acupuncture regularly and studying passionately under her mentor at Naropa, the path toward becoming an acupuncturist beckoned. A half decade later, Susannah received her Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University in Santa Cruz, CA. During her graduate studies, Susannah had the opportunity to deepen her knowledge at Zhejiang Medical University in Hongzhou, China during a clinical externship abroad. As an IVF and pregnancy loss warrior herself, Susannah has deep reverence for individuals, couples and families undergoing fertility struggles and holds a special place in her practice for anyone who has experienced pregnancy and/or infant loss. To better serve those experiencing grief and loss, Susannah received additional training from the Institute for the Study of Birth, Breath & Death and is currently being certified as a Birth and Bereavement Doula at Stillbirthday Academy.
