About Susannah Masarie

Susannah was born and grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina. She spent her summers growing up in Brevard, NC. She lived in Boone, North Carolina for four years while she was in college. She lived in the Atlanta, GA area for thirteen years and the Savannah, GA area for two years, Susannah currently live in Guthrie, OK. She first became interested in photography in 1998 when she took several photography classes while in high school. She continued to study photography in college. She graduated from Appalachian State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Technology with a concentration in photography and the equivalent of a minor in media studies. In she received a certificate of merit from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for one of her photographs. Her work has been published in the Mountain Times Newspaper and the York County Magazine. Her photographs have also been featured on multiple websites including: AB Gallery, Deep Blue Sun, David Via and the Corn Tornado, Furnace Mountain, The Lonely Goat, Tray Dahl and the Jugtime Ragband, and Smilefest. In addition to photography she enjoys creating collage art using her photographs. She have photographed in more that half of the United States and ten other countries. In addition to photographing music Susannah photographs nature including the beauty and destruction of nature. She has photographed a variety of subjects. She has done video work for Flaming Idiot Productions and Live Jams.net. She has also worked as a photo assistant for both an architectural and commercial photographer and would be interested in doing more assisting in the future. She periodically sells her work at art shows her work is available for sale as individual prints, matted prints, or framed and matted prints. She is interested in continuing to do photography and is willing to take on new jobs, assignments and challenges.
