About Susanne Kovar

Since more than 15 years, I have been working in subsea cable installation and protection, gaining substantial experience while helping a small technical advisory firm evolve into a recognised international player. I am a Managing Director of the German entity, and drive international business development for the company group — most recently building connections between Europe and Japan in the offshore energy sector. Alongside this role, I work as a certified coach — supporting professionals who want to grow with clarity and confidence. As a woman in a male-dominated industry, I’ve learned countless lessons that deeply inform my coaching. Many of my clients come to me because they: • feel unseen or unheard, despite being competent and committed, • find stepping into leadership roles overwhelming, • face self-doubt or loss of direction, or • want a safe space to reflect and move forward with purpose. My coaching blends real-world leadership experience with intuitive and neuroscience-based tools. I draw on insights from different industries, cultures, and countries to support meaningful and sustainable transformation. And yes — although I specialise in coaching women in male-dominated fields, quite a few men work with me too. Not everyone thrives in “alpha” environments.
