About Sushmit Bagchi

Sushmit is the Senior Program Manager at IIT Bombay’s Educational Outreach Office, where he leads the design and execution of executive and professional development programs, online courses, and global outreach initiatives. With a focus on bridging academia and industry, he aims to deliver transformational learning experiences by leveraging innovative educational models and cutting-edge industry practices. His work extends to initiatives like school outreach, strategic partnerships, degree programs, and professional certificate courses, making education accessible, relevant, and forward-thinking. Sushmit enjoys collaborating with industry specialists, faculty, and students to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation. He also serves as a Marketing Mentor at Skilled Sapiens and earlier also served as a Motivational Speaker at Mere Mentor. In addition, he works as a freelance academic content writer. With an MBA in Marketing and Human Resources from JIS University, where he was a silver medalist, and a bachelor's in Hospitality Management, Sushmit has a strong background in education, leadership development, and academic administration. Previously, as Project Manager of the Leadership Development Initiative at IIT Gandhinagar, he organized over 60 leadership events and coordinated key programs such as the Foundation Program and Aarohan for incoming UG and PG students. His diverse experience includes roles as an Academic Associate at IIM Amritsar, Guest Lecturer at JIS Group, and Deputy Manager at IndusInd Bank. Sushmit has presented papers at international conferences and earned multiple awards, including the Global Youth Icon of 2022 by ICERT and the Most Innovative Teacher by Kites Kraft. He is passionate about photography and traveling.
