I have a demonstrated passion for social justice and community building, and am a valued team member known for bringing innovative ideas and positive attitude. My previous work for the Kent Pilot, The Gunston School and The New School Free Press has been recognized for critical thinking, adaptability, and effective communication skills that drive exceptional performance in fast-paced news environments.My love for reporting and connecting with folks in the world around me has lead my interests to spread a wide range. My passions for outdoor education and waterfront maintenance allowed me to succeed in managing a team of 55 YMCA staff members for consecutive summers in operating a water sports based summer camp on the Chesapeake Bay. My experience solo traveling to over 20 countries worldwide has broadened my worldview in meaningful ways to those I interact withWhile working as a stylist for a year, my passion for reporting and world changing has only grown and I am eager to enter the professional writing and reporting world in a meaningful capacity.
