About Susie Powell

Highly qualified musculoskeletal physiotherapist and exercise physiologist, Susie Powell, has built her career focusing on education and empowerment of clients with chronic recurrent injuries and pain. With experience across Australia and the UK, spanning acute sports injuries, hospital and rehabilitation settings, she brings this wealth of knowledge to her current role in the highly innovative and renowned physiotherapy private practice, Physiocise. Her passion for combining the latest research with strong, practical, simple solutions, enable her clients to take what they learn from individual and class based therapy and immediately apply these strategies to their every day life. Her particular interests lie in the area of management and prevention of athlete overuse injuries. As a former chronic asthmatic, she also has a strong passion for exploring the impact of breathing on core functioning and oxygen exchange in maximizing performance in athletes of any level. More recently she has developed an expertise in business development and marketing, combining her skills in communication, digital content and brand design to ensure that Physiocise continues to lead the profession in these areas. She also plays a strong internal role, coordinating the communication between a team of 25 contractors and permanent staff. She is constantly learning and updating her skills, participating in regular courses, conferences, in-services and events related to physiotherapy and wellbeing research as well as in the areas of communication and digital marketing
