I am a native speaker of English and Portuguese and have an adequate working knowledge of Spanish. Always up for a new challenge and always interested in learning, I left the field of Patient Advocacy to enter the world of Automotive Logistics with Virginia Transportation Corporation and in now Accounts Receivables with Richards Manufacturing. At Richard’s Manufacturing, my current role is in Accounts Receivable with my main focus in Credit and Collections, Customer Account Maintenance, Customer Creation and credit applications, Vendor Maintenance and RMAs. Past employment experience, albeit very varied, has helped me fine tune my attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills as well as an understanding in customer relationships that have allowed me to maintain the total past dues balances at under 8% on a monthly basis. In my former role as a Logistics Coordinator and driver manager, I was responsible for ensuring delivery of vehicles from the manufacturer to the dealer. Having a strong set of organizational skills, interpersonal skills, a lot of curiosity and attention to detail gave me the necessary skills to take on new challenges and to thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment like the automotive field. Route planning, load building and work distribution of both 9 -10 car haulers and our “pups” to a crew of 10-15 drivers everything from Volvos into Halifax, Hondas, Acuras and the entire Ford line from Transits to Pickups. At CEA and Legal Services of New Jersey my duties included interviewing and assessing potentially eligible disability clients who are in need of assistance, completing a wide range of applications, submission of evidence and appeals. As a former ESL teacher in Lisbon, Portugal for businessmen and women, and later on as a caseworker for a non-profit legal service, my work experience has been varied and very rewarding. I have been privileged to help many sides of the spectrum, learning and developing myself for new challenges. As an English teacher, I helped business professionals advance their knowledge of the language and feel a sense of accomplishment in their continued education.
