I am currently changed career to work in speech and language therapy in the healthcare sector. I have a particular interest in how language is used and recently completed my Masters in English Language where I looked at gendered language and deception in language. I think it is safe to say I have finally found my calling and I love my job in the community Stroke service. I am currently working as an assistant but am keen to undertake the new speech and language apprenticeship to qualify as a therapist. I have good business acumen having had my own start up and I ran my own department managing a team and reporting to senior management. I am highly organised and a natural planner having managed events and projects. I have excellent customer service skills having always worked in customer centric environments.
