About Suzanne Blesch

I work as a Global Customer Success Director at EF Corporate Learning. EF Corporate Learning is the world’s first and largest corporate language training provider. Delivering language training for organizations since 1965 and with 20+ million learners trained online since 1996, our legacy and global scale are unmatched. Many of the multinational organizations we serve have partnered with us for over 15 years, reporting 3x higher engagement and learning progress than other providers. Originally from the United States, I started my journey as a Global Citizen by enrolling at University of Toronto in 2002 and studying abroad at Tokyo University from 2004-2005. In 2007, I moved to Tokyo, Japan to pursue my dream of living and working in an international environment in a country that I love. In 2023, I moved back to the United States with my husband, and I am now based in New Jersey. Within my 15+year career, I have built a wealth of experience in learning program design, project management, cross-functional communication, and team leadership. I love taking on new challenges and thinking creatively to find outcomes that exceed expectations for both internal and external clients. I am a natural leader, and enjoy working closely with people to ensure that they are doing the best job they can do for themselves and for our clients. In addition to my "official" work experience, I have years of ad hoc experience in the following areas- Simultaneous English - Japanese / Japanese - English interpretation - Written English - Japanese / Japanese - English translation - People management, including support for promotions and disciplinary action - Negotiation with internal and external clients - Sales presentations with internal and external clients - Design and Publishing using Adobe InDesign - Audio editing and production using Adobe Audition - Educational video production - Hobby related video production (I run a small but slowly growing YouTube channel) Aside from work, I'm a veteran "otaku," and I'm an active participant in fan activities for various types of media directed towards female audiences (joseimuke). I have taken leadership roles in creative projects to share information about Japanese media with the world, and enjoy collaborating with other fans to celebrate our interests on a global scale.
