About Suzanne Harris

A trailblazing marketer, I built and shaped a small company marketing department. Competition in our industry was, and continues to be fierce. Differentiating our company was critical. I believed that high quality marketing content to be essential part of standing out. My priority was to redesign our marketing materials. Next, I introduced our first e-newsletter program. Following that was a companion blog and social media. While juggling other responsibilities as a Sales & Marketing Manager, I expanded our deliverables. Articles, case studies and infographics followed. Results? Our subscriber base tripled over the last nine years. Our content has engaged clients and prospects. Our leads and, referrals are more qualified. Two business of the year awards! One from the Chamber of Commerce and another from the Small Business Administration. I wrote two articles that were published. One was a report about Employee Ownership. The other article explained water conservation in the landscape.(There is a link to both articles below). My engine is creativity. It’s what drives my excitement for content marketing. This identity was etched as an art major at Sonoma State University. Much of my career was in Sales as an Account Manager in the magazine publishing industry. It schooled me in sales, marketing strategy and the advertising business. My specialties: Seeing the big picture. An insatiable appetite for research. A journalist's knack for synthesizing chunks of that data into a readable format. Also: Marketing strategy development. Both written and visual communication: presenting, writing, interviewing; graphic design. Most recently I learned how to podcast and created a limited series for the Environmental Forum of Marin.
