About Suzanne Hess

My nursing career has been one of success which has given me opportunites that I never really expected. I love working with seniors, but also have expertise in managing staff, working with insurance companies, case management in the hospital setting, education for the community on prevention and wellness, and have really expanded my work with seniors in Assisted Living. I have found that today's AL is like yesterday's nursing home! I find that as a nurse collaborating with physicians is essential My job extends beyond an individual's physical needs. I enjoy getting to know our residents by asking lots of questions. Seniors have a lot of great stories to tell and often no one to tell them to. I have come to better understand the importance of sharp observational skills and a healthy sense of curiosity in providing physical and emotional care for our senior population.
