About Suzanne Kaplan

I was a classroom dual language middle school mathematics teacher for 16 years and an instructional coach for three years. I am a nationally board certified teacher and I have a Master Teacher designation from the Arizona K-12 Center. My doctorate is in mathematics education. I currently teach Content Area Literacy courses for pre-service teachers and graduate courses for teachers seeking either their masters or doctoral degrees at the University of Arizona and I am also the director of the Teachers in Industry program. I also own Educational Solutions for the 21st Century Learner: We provide customized professional development and school improvement services. We work directly with teachers and students in classrooms, provide highly engaging and interactive professional development and develop curriculum. We also provide the completion SEI class online for teachers who prefer or need to do this work from home. Information about these classes can be found at our website: My husband Robert and I are the owners of Drama Kids International of Tucson. We provide after school drama classes. Our classes take place in schools and community locations. We develop students through drama. We focus on leadership, creative thinking and movement, public speaking, speech and literacy skills along with building self-confidence. We support each child with developing their fullest potential.
