About Suzanne Messiant

Since my childhood I am interested in sciences, technical progress, especially concerning aeronautic sector. My curiosity led me to take the exam called BIA which is the very first introduction in the aeronautic field and allowed me to fly for the first time in a light aircraft. This experience mixed my attraction for the air and another passion: travel. This feeling of freedom was a real revelation for me: I want to work in this area. That’s when I joined a scientific preparatory class within the establishment applied to train engineer in several domains. Then I began the first year of the engineering cycle where I got involved in two student associations. As a travel enthusiast especially by boat I became the treasurer of the sailing association of the school. Concurrently with that, I was the responsible for the events in the solidarity association called Opheiration Bénin. This enabled me to go for a month in Zè, near Cotonou in order to help in the local training center and the construction of a health center. However, the lessons delivered by HEI was too general for me so I integrated ELISA Aerospace. Here every subject deal with aeronautic issue and for example one project which is the building and the modeling of a seaplane suitable for landing on various grounds and intended to bring medical equipment to remote areas. After having discovered the theoretical aspect of the aeronautic domain, I wanted this summer to discover it in a professional way. I spent though 4 weeks into the Safran Nacelles company in Toulouse as an intern. I worked for the supply improvement, the management of the stocks of the engine parts and the streams optimization. I had to coach and manage people, delegate to others and try to resolve conflict. Indeed in the future, I would like to find my traineeship in an Anglophone country such as Canada. To improve my English first, but also to work with persons having other way of thinking, other way of working.
