About Suzanne Robertson

I practice from a collaborative model and allow my work to be guided by inclusivity, empowerment, and advocacy. As a practitioner in Manitoba, I am cognoscente of the historical contexts in which Indigenous communities, families and young people continue to be impacted by the residual effects of Intergenerational trauma caused by colonization through colonial settler practices and systems. Through my practise and clinical work in community based programs, it is an integral component of the interventions and work that we do as organizations to be mindful of these impacts; and to strive to provide services that are person and community centred and inclusive of various integrated healing practices including harm reduction models, that may serve as better suited healing intervention for individuals, families and communities.
