About Suzanne Ross

As an author, educator, and nonprofit founder, I am passionate about exploring the complexities of human nature and fostering peaceful, compassionate communities. In 2007, I published The Wicked Truth: When Good People Do Bad Things, a book inspired by my fascination with the Broadway musical Wicked and its presentation of deep, enduring moral questions. I am currently working on a second edition to coincide with the upcoming Universal Studios film adaptation. That same year, my husband Keith and I co-founded the Raven Foundation, an online platform dedicated to renewing faith in a God of mercy and nonviolence. Our journey deepened in 2020 as we founded unRival Network, where we partnered with global peacebuilders to learn from their work in conflict transformation and trauma healing. Today, that mission is continued by our colleagues at Street Psalms, who support grassroots leaders through innovative seminary programs. I've also served as a Director of Christian Education at the First Congregational Church of Wilmette, IL and taught Montessori preschool, experiences that inform my current writing projects. Alongside my book, I am developing a stage play about Dr. Maria Montessori, whose vision for peaceful education continues to inspire my work. I am always eager to connect with fellow educators, authors, and changemakers who share a commitment to empathy, nonviolence, and transformative learning.
