About Suzanne Surface

Suzanne is consulting in the energy industry. Her areas of expertise are: regulatory strategy, industry transformation, and creating collaborative solutions to energy issues across a diverse group of stakeholders. Suzanne previously served as Senior Vice President, Enterprise Transformation Office. She led the ETO, working in close partnership with business segment and functional leadership to develop, prioritize, lead, and execute enterprise-wide initiatives that deliver improved business performance. Prior to assuming her current role in June 2020, Suzanne had served as Chief Services Officer, with responsibility for customer services and corporate transformation and services, since January 2019. She serves as a NiSource executive Inclusion and Diversity Champion. Suzanne has also held executive roles in regulatory, internal audit and enhancing efficiency and effectiveness. Suzanne has been employed by the Columbia Gas and NiSource for more than 30 years, beginning her career as an intern. She holds a master's degree in business administration from Capital University, where she graduated with highest honors, and a bachelor's degree in economics from Wittenberg University.
