About Suzanne Tribe

I am a native English speaker and come from Bridlington in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. I hold British and Swiss nationality and have been living in Central Switzerland for over 30 years. I work as a freelance translator, editor and proofreader, as well as for V-ZUG Ltd on a part-time basis. I have an undergraduate degree in German, Economics and Politics and a postgraduate degree in Financial Management (course components: modern portfolio theory and investment analysis; derivatives; econometrics; bank financial management; corporate finance; international finance; exchange rate dynamics; macroeconomic models and policy). Having worked for various banks, investment and asset managers, and translation agencies, I have acquired many years of experience not only in writing, translating and editing, but also in proofreading, carrying out quality assurance and checking print proofs, especially in the areas of banking and finance. I am very capable of translating highly complex texts and have a keen eye for detail and accuracy. I work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. My greatest interests are economics and art. I truly believe the world would be a much happier and safer place for all if we could appreciate that there is a role for everyone and it needs to be decently rewarded. The prevailing obsession with excess rent is obscene. As for art, I would be immeasurably happy with a house adorned with Claude Verlinde paintings.
