About Suzanne Winch

I have dedicated the last 30 years to supporting First Nations' land governance efforts. I am the Manager of Communications at the First Nations Land Management Resource Centre (FNLRC), a national organization supporting First Nations in developing and implementing their land governance systems through community-ratified land codes. I hold a certificate in Public Relations from Toronto Metropolitan University and a BA in Environmental Studies from Carleton University. My core competencies include developing and executing corporate communications strategies, creating and managing print and digital content, aiding community engagement, and organizing and promoting national events. I am passionate about facilitating the exchange of information and knowledge among First Nations, multi-level stakeholders, and the public in advancing the recognition and respect of First Nations' rights and interests. As part of the FNLMRC team, I assist First Nations to re-establish control over their lands, natural resources, and environment by implementing the First Nation-led Framework Agreement on First Nation Land Management.
