Gopalen combines extensive experience in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. He has worked on developing Onload Tap changers Vacuum Circuit Breakers, Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic components, Filament Wound Products for Indian, American and Brazilian markets. In 1964, he was one of the founders of A Bond Strands – a fiberglass manufacturer, catering to Power Equipment manufacturers in India. He was one of the founders of OLG in 1984.
