About Sven Vanselow

I work as a Medical Writer at infill healthcare communication. My work encompasses visiting congresses, writing reports on current clinical research, publications, as well as creating educational and promotional material, mainly in oncology and immunology. I completed my PhD program in March 2021 with the oral examination (Magna cum laude, summa cum laude for the exam). My PhD project at the University of Regensburg in Bavaria focused on functions of the eukaryotic initiation factor 2 (eIF2) which plays an essential role in the translation of mRNAs and is a central hub for the control of protein synthesis. During my studies of Molecular Medicine at the University of Göttingen I acquired broad knowledge of cellular biochemistry as well as the molecular function and dysfunction of human cells, tissues and organs. This includes for example molecular cardiology, nephrology, immunology and neurology. A major focus was on cellular signal transduction and cell cycle and their connection to oncogenesis.
