As the Deputy General Manager of Finance at Akasa Air, I am responsible for driving the financial strategy, planning and analysis, fund raising and investor relation functions of the leading low-cost airline in India. I have been in this role since May 2023, after working for three years as a Senior Associate at JPMorgan Chase & Co, one of the largest global financial services firms.With a PGDM in Finance from IIM Mumbai and 14+ years of experience in the finance domain, I bring a strong combination of strategic, analytical, and communication skills to the role. My core competencies include credit risk and research, credit underwriting, global banking, financial modeling, automations, change projects, and stakeholder management. I have successfully led and delivered multiple initiatives to improve the financial performance, transparency, and efficiency of Akasa Air. Some of my notable achievements include timely and successful launch of Akasa's 'International Operations', leading the 'Fund Raising' project and designing the 'ERM Framework' from scratch while implementing a robust financial forecasting model, and establishing and maintaining effective investor relations. I am passionate about creating value for the organization, the customers, and the shareholders, and I strive to uphold the highest standards of integrity, quality, and innovation in my work.
