Experienced Research Associate Professor in Experimental Biophysics with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. Skilled in Molecular Biology, Cell Culture, Science, Research, and Qualitative Research. Strong research professional with a MS and PhD focused in Biology from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Expert in using various techniques to perform high quality research such as Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Spectroscopy, Nitric Oxide Analyzer, UV and LIght Absorption spectrometry, ELIZA assays, ENO-20 to look at nitrite and nItrate in plasma. Experienced in collaborative research over the last 15 years. Worked as safety training officer. Worked as the founding Academic Advisor for the Department of Engineering at Wake Forest University. Advisor to students on the Engineering track and a liason for the department with the Office of Academic Advising and the Registrar's office at WFU. Other Interests are: Painting (Oil), travelling (US and International), music and singing (Indian traditional, Bollywood), walking our dog (Snowy), supporting son’s career in Music and summer abroad course offered in India by husband, Dr Ananda Mitra (Professor, Communication dept, WFU), gardening, crochet.
