About Swati Nagar

A 19-year career as a scholarly practitioner that provides comprehensive knowledge and expertise across all aspects of teaching, research, industry engagement & leadership. Over the years, I have developed a philosophy that centres on collaboration, inclusivity and openness, reflected in all aspects of my work. I pride myself on my ability to engage, establish & manage relationships (internal and external) with a range of stakeholders within the University & Industry. I understand the importance of effective communication when working in a team and how collaboration and the ability to adapt enhance the working environment and productivity. Furthermore, I champion new & innovative methods, specifically concerning teaching & learning pedagogy and Industry-focused research. I am recognised as a subject matter expert on topics that have a social impact. Examples include the role of gender in modern slavery (exploitation and decent work/pay for girls and women), labour mobility and teaching and learning pedagogy. I have gained vast experience in coaching and mentoring other colleagues on Faculty and University practices and policies during my career. I currently co-lead the Department of International Business, Strategy & Entrepreneurship at AUT Business School, overseeing all operational aspects of the Department.
