About Swati Singh

I am a multidisciplinary scientist with over a decade of hands-on experience in molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry. My expertise spans protein expression and purification, protein-protein interaction studies, assay development, CRISPR-Cas9 technologies, and a wide range of cell biology techniques. I am passionate about leveraging my research expertise and training to translate scientific discoveries into innovative life-saving treatments. My PhD research focused on unravelling the complexities of cancer pathogenesis and discovering innovative therapeutics, with particular emphasis on 1) Cancer signaling pathways, 2) liquid-liquid phase separation in cellular processes and 3) mitochondrial functions and their role in cancer. I am also experienced in communicating complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences. I have presented my work in over +15 conferences and authored several high-impact publications. I also mentored many undergraduate and graduate students during my PhD. My innovative problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills have enabled me to successfully design, develop and manage multiple research projects. Through the Life Science Entrepreneurship Development Program and other extracurricular initiatives, I have gained extensive knowledge of drug development, clinical trials, regulatory processes, and commercialization strategies in the life science and health sectors, complementing my scientific expertise with a strong foundation in biotechnology entrepreneurship.
