About Swetha Chenna

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Copenhagen, where I apply my bioinformatics and nanotechnology skills to unravel the molecular mechanisms of plant development and stress responses. I have a PhD in Plant Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics from the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), where I conducted pioneering research on the role of microRNAs in rice domestication and yield traits. With a background in Computational Biology and Biotechnology, I am passionate about advancing the field of transcriptomics and genomics through data-driven discoveries. I have expertise in harnessing cutting-edge computational tools and statistical methodologies to decode complex biological systems and drive meaningful insights. I have published multiple papers in high-impact journals and received prestigious fellowships and awards for my research. I am motivated by the potential of bioinformatics to contribute to the global challenges of food security, climate change, and human health.
