About Swetha Panda

I am an accomplished professional with more than eight years of experience in software development. As a part of my job, from the very beginning, I have worked and interacted with business teams of IBM all over the world providing me with an insight into the current business environment. I have worked with IBM(2014 to 2022) for more than eight years in different teams and having a varied range of responsibilities throughout. I have had the opportunity to work closely with excellent managers and role models. I have developed top notch code as a Software Developer for the applications I supported. I have created numerous process-flows and cloud migration plans for entire applications without any impact on the business as usual. I have been the only resource and the focal for all of my applications. As a part of this, I had to interact with all the teams (around 5 to 6 teams – Upstream and downstream). Roles and Responsibilities 1) Translate business requirements to technical mainframe terms and documented the requirements. 2) Work on stretch assignments using python to migrate legacy data warehouses to cloud. 3) Architect cloud migration activities for all the mainframe (MVS) applications. 4) Architect the complete process flow for new MVS projects. 5) Independently work on the analysis, coding, testing and deployment of MVS change requests using the Jira tool for tracking purposes. 6) Coordinate with all the concerned stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely delivery of the MVS changes using the slack tool and e-mails. 7) Follow a mixture of Kanban and Agile methodology for development using the Jira tool. 8) Support the MVS projects by handling production issues, user queries and change requests using Service Now.
