About Syaiful Ali

Syaiful Ali is a Professor at Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada. He obtained his Ph.D.(in accounting information systems) and MInfSys from UQ Business School, Australia and received a bachelor degree in accounting from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. Recently, he completed executive education trainings in digital transformation and leadership areas from Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University and Cornell University. His major research interests are IT investment governance, IT governance, and corporate governance. His research has been been published in several international journals such as Gadjah Mada International Journal, Journal of Global Information Management, Information Systems Frontiers, Journal of Information Systems (American Accounting Association), International Journal of Accounting Information Systems, Accounting & Education, Management Review Quarterly, Journal of Financial Accounting and Reporting, Journal of Applied Accounting Research and Australian Journal of Management. He also has presented research papers at major IS conferences such as Pacific-Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS), Asia/Pacific Research Symposium on Accounting Information Systems, Mediterranean Conference on Information Systems (MCIS), Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS), American Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS), American Accounting Association Annual Meeting Conference 2015, Chicago, IL, and Annual Meeting Conference 2016, New York.
