About Sydney Crook

As a passionate educator and environmental advocate, I bring a diverse skill set to every opportunity I pursue. Over the past few years, I have built a unique blend of experience in both teaching and environmental management. With 3 years of teaching 6th-grade science, I have developed a strong foundation in engaging students with the natural world and fostering critical thinking. I am dedicated to creating a dynamic classroom environment that encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and a love for science. In addition to my teaching experience, I have spent a year collecting water quality data and managing shellfish farms. This role also involved leading a team of 5 people, where I gained valuable skills in data analysis, project management, and team leadership. My work in the environmental field reinforced my commitment to sustainability and the importance of hands-on, real-world learning experiences. I hold a Bachelor's of Science in Environmental Studies with a minor in Biology, which provided me with a strong scientific background, and a Master's of Education in General Science (grades 5-8), which further refined my ability to teach and inspire the next generation of scientific thinkers. I'm excited to continue integrating my environmental knowledge and teaching expertise to make an impact in education and the field of environmental stewardship
