About Sydney Jones

I am currently a second-year law student at The George Washington University Law School, pursuing my JD. I am involved in a few law student organizations such as Phi Alpha Delta (law fraternity), Law Association of Women, and APALSA. I graduated cum laude from Indiana University Bloomington in May 2023 with degrees in international studies and Russian with a minor in political science. I was also involved in Phi Alpha Delta at the undergraduate level, where I served on the executive board for two years. During my senior year, we raised over for Indiana Legal Services, an organization that provides free civil legal assistance to low-income residents of Indiana. After I completed university, I served as an AmeriCorps/Great Oaks Foundation tutoring fellow at a DC public elementary school. I provided high-dosage tutoring to students in 3rd - 5th grade in reading and writing. I also participated in the leadership team for the school's Girls on the Run club. This summer, I am working as a research assistant to Professor Jeffrey Manns in editing a securities law textbook as well as participating in a study abroad in Scotland at the University of Aberdeen School of Law. I am excited to get a comparative look at UK vs. US law through this study abroad experience!
