About Sydney Murphy

From very early on in my life, I have had an exceptional drive and passion to help others. Being raised in a home with healthcare workers opened my eyes to just how many people in the world who are in need of assistance. After shadowing an OTR in many different types of rehab settings, I knew that Occupational Therapy was the direction I wanted to pursue in life. It was then that I started my journey exploring different jobs working with kids with various special needs, as well as the elderly. ​Having this opportunity, I realized specifically my interest was in helping the geriatric population exclusively. I grew up riding horses and firsthand have seen and experienced the amazing healing effect animals can have. I have volunteered as well as spent time teaching and educating others on how horses can aide in healing process, whether that be physically or psychologically. I have had the honor to witness this magic and realized that I could combine two of my biggest passions in life to make a difference in the world.
