About Sydney Sears

I am an enthusiastic graduate student at Villanova University pursuing a Master of Sciences in Psychology. In May 2024, I graduated from Villanova University with a BA in Psychology and minors in Spanish and English. My career aspirations include becoming a licensed clinical psychologist and a sports psychologist. I possess good written and verbal communication skills and an interest in psychology which has spanned my lifetime with a particular passion for working with adolescents and young adults. I have practical work experience as a Mental Health Technician working in a PHP and IOP clinical setting, as a Behavioral Health Technician working in an outpatient clinical setting, as a Psychotherapy intern working with patients with Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar disorder, and OCD, as an RBT intern working alongside children with autism, and as a research assistant in two psychology research labs at Villanova University under Dr. Deena Weisberg, studying expertise effects in relation to fictional literature and AI software, and Dr. Janette Herbers, studying the effects of homelessness on the resilience of parents and development of young children.
