About Sydney Wayne

I am a second-year graduate student studying Speech-Language Pathology at Ball State University. I am currently completing a medical externship at Riverview Health in Noblesville, Indiana. I will graduate with my Master's in Speech-Language Pathology in July of 2024. After graduating with Master's degree, it is my dream to work as an SLP within a hospital. I developed a keen interest in dysphagia and cognitive disorders throughout my clinical experience at Ball State University and would love to work within those populations. My clinical experience at Ball State University involved working with clients across the lifespan with a variety of diagnoses. I had the opportunity to develop clinical skills in my areas of interest by observing and completing clinical hours with clients with pediatric dysphagia, aphasia, and other cognitive differences. While these clients were but a small portion of my clinical experience, they were the most influential towards deciding what populations I wanted to work with in the future.
