About Syed Faran Alam

After completing the Bachelors of Science degree in Accountancy with finance as a minor from the College of Business and Economics at CSUN in Dec 2014, I am currently employed at GishSeiden, a public accounting firm located in Woodland After completing my CPA exams, I am focusing on my Masters of Science in Taxation program at CSUN. I have developed and strengthened my leadership skills by actively taking part in accounting organizations, such as Beta Alpha Psi and Accounting Association at CSUN. I have served as the Director of Financial Services and as the Director of Tutoring Services for Beta Alpha Psi in spring and fall 2013 respectively. I have also served as the Controller for Beta Alpha Psi and as a Tax Clinician for the Bookstein Tax Clinic. After a tough election, I had taken the executive position of Vice President of Operations too. My experience at GishSeiden, Beta Alpha Psi, Accounting Association, and the Bookstein Tax Clinic has provided me with awareness of how valuable CPAs are in the world and have enhanced my interest in pursuing a CPA license.
