About Sylvain Draaisma

I’m currently learning to be a professional in the leisure field. I want to specifically focus on attractions and theme parks. I studied audio and visual techniques in the past. Other hobbies of mine, include: making and listening to music, watching movies and photography. I love storytelling and hope to tell a lot of stories in the future in an immersive way that’s not direct video, text, speech or theatre. Storytelling has always been a huge part of my life. Disney and Efteling are some of the key elements that influenced my life. With weekly visits to the Efteling and monthly visits to Disney, I’d like to say I have a lot of experience within the business. I try to keep track of the latest updates whenever I can. Currently, due to the Covid situation, I’m missing out on a lot of opportunities that can influence my future. I hope to settle this with an internship at Disney Parks & Resorts. As a cameraman, I have a lot of experience with working under stress. It’s a common saying that cameramen, need to hand in their work yesterday instead of tomorrow. With my experience, I can say this is close to correct. I’m a calm person therefore, I can handle stress very well. My biggest dream comes down to making an immersive themed area or attraction for one of the key players in the industry. This can be Efteling, Disney, Europapark or any other park that’s within my reach of experience. Thanks for reading this short description about my past, present and future.
